Puerto Galera Transport Cooperative
The Puerto Galera Business Sector is encouraging the creation of a Transport Cooperative that will provide a Manila to Puerto Galera Van and Ferry Transport Service.
This will greatly boost the tourist industry and solve many of the problems associated with transporting tourists to and from Puerto Galera.
The business is also highly profitable as the majority of the resort owners have already pledged their commitment to support this service.
So how will this work?
- Organize the transport cooperative.
- Apply for a franchise from the LTFRB for a Manila-Puerto Galera route.
- The coop acquires 10 units of brand new NISSAN 18-seater van.
- The coop operates a booking office in Manila where the vans will be parked.
- The vans will be registered and accredited as a tourist transport service.
- The vans will depart from Manila booking office daily at 8 am sharp
- The vans will board the RORO ferry which will leave Batangas pier at 11 am.
- The vans will proceed to PG drop off points, ETA PG 12:30 pm.
- From Puerto Galera, the vans will leave PG pick-up points at 12 noon.
- The vans will board the RORO ferry which will leave PG pier at 1 pm,
ETA Batangas pier 2:30 pm. - The vans will proceed to Manila drop-off points, ETA Manila 5 pm.
- Marketing will be done in coordination with resort owners and booking agencies.
- Aggressive marketing and promotion will be done to entice tourists to use this service.
- 12 persons in a van
- Transport fare – roundtrip 1500, one-way 800 pesos.
The ROI is fast and high because of the support of the resort owners.
There is a big need for this service and there is no direct competition.
